Over the river and through the woods...to Grandma's house we go!

WELL, here are the pictures that you have ALL been waiting for. Preston and I went down to Grandma Martin's house in St. George and put in new carpet and new vinyl. It was quite the project but we made sure that everything was JUST right. Kudos to Preston for all his hard work. We love you grandma. I hope you like it as much as we do!

First we had to take out all the furniture and put it on the patio...then we realized that the sprinklers would probably come on in the middle of the night so we later readjusted it!
I wish I would have taken before and after pictures...but I got a little excited and ripped out all the carpet before I thought about it. This is Preston putting the carpet pad in the bedroom.
We moved the appliances into the main room so we could do the vinyl first.
Then Preston put down the smelly floor patch. It's pretty much cement that hardens up. (Then I got the fun job of sanding it all down).
Then we measured and took a template of the kitchen and bathroom and glued in the vinyl. We had the HEAVIEST roller thingy (that's what they call it at the store) and made sure that all the bubbles were out. You should have seen me hauling that thing up the stairs! Ü
This is our mess that we made with all of Preston's tools.
Then came the carpet. Preston did the bedroom first. I would have NEVER thought they put carpet in the way they do. It's ingenious! (Is that how you spell ingenious?)
Then came the living/dining room. This is Preston's handy power stretcher. That's the cool part. They make sure that the carpet is spread just as tight as it can go so that they can put it in place from there.
Then...we were done. This is us after hard days of work.

Notice we are "Professional Coverings Installer." Yea...that's us.
Grandma...there is your new bathroom. Woo woo!
Your beautiful bedroom.
And the living room/dining room.
And last...here is a close of of both of them. We hope you like it. Mom picked out some good stuff for your home. We sure do love you and all that you do for us and our family! We hope that you will enjoy this little service to you!

Preston - you rock! What a great job....and I know how much work that is to move everything, rip out the old flooring and put everything back afterwards. You both are amazing!
