Elections

Elections, Elections, Elections. Wow. I don't even know where to begin. It has been a LONG, vigorous race and, if anything, I am glad that it is over with and that we can all move on.

Preston and I had many a discussion about the election and politics. And Preston brought up a good point the day before we voted. Aren't we lucky to be able to vote?

I am proud to say that I am an American and I had the right to vote on November 4, 2008. We have a President Elect Obama in the stands who has the weight of the world on his shoulders now. I heard on the radio today that "Winning was the easy part, it is actually taking on the President's seat that is hard." I agree.

Now that the elections are over, I am going to put everything behind me and put my trust and support in our newly elected leaders. I pray that Heavenly Father will watch over our country and bless them in their important decisions. May we unite as a nation and hopefully in a few years we will still be saying, "Yes, we can (or Campbells if you prefer)."
