Preston joined the 2-3 club on March 2 (Tuesday). We were able to spend a fun day together first at the Draper Open House which was beautiful. Then we went to Cabella's where we had a Boar and a Bison sandwich. Mmmm... We enjoyed our time paroozing about the area and looking at fishing gear, guns, outdoor gear, etc. A man's dream.
Then, I spend the rest of the day...attempting to make Preston's cake. (At least it felt like all day). For those of you that didn't know...Preston shares a birthday with Dr. Seuss so I attempted to make a Mad Hatter-Cat in the hat cake. Yep! It didn't turn out all too bad...considering that half of that middle layer fell off in my fridge. But it tasted good and that's all that matters.
Then my best bud, Hali showed up with our favorite cookies (which mind you Hali, are already gone). She is the best friend a girl could count on. How lucky am I? My best bud and my husband get along so great.
The family was here so we spent the rest of the evening playing games and enjoying one another. I loved this picture of Grandpa with the kids!
Preston, I hope you had a wonderful day. How lucky I am to have you in my life! I thank my Heavenly Father every day for such a loving, patient, and kind husband. I can honestly say that you make me want to be a better person and I am striving every day to be the type of wife that you deserve. Happy Birthday again and I love you!
