Ugh...computers. It seems like our world is so complex that we need to get more and more "stuff" to make everything work. And included in that, is more mulla. Why can't life just be simple again? I am starting to realize the importance of a rainy day fund.
Preston's laptop wouldn't connect properly to his computer until it finally died and we couldn't get it started again. So we took it into PC Laptops and Best Buy and they both told us that it would cost a few hundred dollars to fix and it probably wouldn't last long. IKES! So...after quick massive searches for new laptops, we found a great deal but still had to transfer the old programs from the old hard drive to the new one.
Best Buy = $100. PC Laptops = FREE (if you buy one of their $1,500 laptops). Preston found a place called PC Provo that offered us $25 to transfer!
My brother suggested that we get an external enclosure and transfer it to the hardware on the new laptop that way. So we went to Best Buy and bought an enclosure for $50. And took it to PC Provo. The manager looked at the enclosure, said that we paid too much for it, and offered an enclosure for $15, transferred it from our old hard drive for no cost! So what would have cost us about $150 at Best Buy, cost us $15.
I was so impressed, I wanted to let everyone know about it. And I don't do that very often. It's at 224 South 500 West in Provo. Great service and extremely affordable for all of you that get fed up with high costs like me!
