It's amazing how much our world has progressed in the last decade or so. I look at the way that my parents handle certain things and compare it to how I do, and it's amazing at all the tools that are more available to us now. Anyways, thought I would share a couple of sites that I have come to love to help me organize my life:
This is our newest one. Preston and I share a Google calendar through our gmail account. If either one of us adds something to the calendar, it adds it to the other person's as well. ALSO, Preston has attached it to his Microsoft Outlook on the main computer at our house so it syncs to our online calendar every 120 minutes. Then he can simply sync his blackberry to outlook and everything that may have changed, is automatically updated. So nice....
I am absolutely in love with this website. It's done by Kraft but is so incredibly organized I love it. I can give three ingredients that I am trying to use at my house and it will come up with recipes of things I can make. Also, I can add things to "My Recipes" and so if I want to use them later, I can easily find them. But my favorite thing is, I can put in all my recipes that I am going to make and add them to "My Shopping List." From there, it will put all the ingredients, the amounts into an organized list by category in the grocery store so that I can just print it out and go. Yet again...so nice...

This is something that we have done for almost a year now and absolutely love. I think that a lot of people use this site because it is so reliable and useful. We love it. Each month, we will put in our budget to mint.com and it will track what we've spent and what categories they are in. Granted, we have to correct the categories often, I can't complain. It's helped us a lot to manage our money and stay within a healthy budget.
Thank you modern technology. Is there a website that you have found that has made your life easier? If so, do share! Please.

I just found a new blog that gives freezing food tips and yummy recipes. It's called www.freezehappy.com. I think about how I used to balance my checkbook on paper - now I just look up my account on the web. So nice. :)
Pretty sure I'll never succesfully sync a blackberry to outlook or a google calendar, BUT, kraft sounds amazing. I hate grocery shopping. It took me three weeks to find lemon juice. Seriously, that's ridiculous.
