I just wanted to write a quick note and say how grateful I am for the men in my life. I have to admit that I am a pretty stubborn, independent girl. I remember in college I used to do almost everything on my own because I didn't want to feel like I had to rely on anyone. In fact, in college I was signed up to take an automotive and electrical class. I would have taken them, but I found out that I got into nursing school a semester earlier than I had expected.
The first and foremost man in my life, Preston, has taken on a big project recently of redoing our closets. He put the shelves in the middle and put another rod for the closet to fit more clothes and such. It's wonderful! I did help of course, but I definitely couldn't do as nice a job as he did.
Isn't it wonderful? Organization. Aw...such a beautiful thing.
Here is the future babes closet.
Mine (of course...packed to the T).
And Preston's.
Not only is Preston incredible at home projects and building, he is great at working with our car. He can do most basic fixes on the car and even can talk sensibly with the car repair man (my worst nightmare due to past experiences). So, when I went to drop him off at class and figured out that my driver's side tire was dead flat, Preston put on the spare in 2-seconds flat.
Oh wait, did I mention that when we took the jack off, we noticed...the spare was flat too. IKES!
That is where we come to the other man in my life. My dad! I sent Preston off to class and called my dad who works at the university. He rearranged his schedule and came to the rescue. My dad is always prepared for any situation. And I swear he knows how to do just about anything! So he pulled out his pump that he always keeps in his trunk, pumped up my tire and sent me on my way to work (a little late of course).

I have to admit, this is one thing that I should learn how to do on my own. I think I could if I had to, but I have always had a guy right there to fix it. I remember coming off of work one day and I realized I had a flat. I pulled over in a parking lot just as a man, in his suit and all, was walking by. He saw that I had a flat and immediately offered to help. Never met the man, but at the time, I was so grateful for his generosity.
Boys, thanks for taking care of us girls sometimes. Even though we may not admit that we need help sometimes, every girl can use a little help sometimes. Even those stubborn, independent ones like me.

Caytee I am so sorry we haven't got together I really want to see you! I am just in Saratoga Springs now so I can come to Provo anytime. You are such a cute pregnant girl by the way. We will get together before you have that baby for sure.
