Preston's parents were nice enough to take us all to Lagoon for the day. It was a lot of fun and we were able to hit almost every ride. I could tell by the dismemberment of my brain by the end of the day. Ü I wish I would have gotten some pictures there, but between riding the rollercoasters and watching the others fly by...well, I don't think I would have been able to get any good ones. Sorry.
I did get one of Niels shooting for a NBA jersey, however, he is standing directly behind the Lagoon worker. Oh well.
Carl did pretty well. I found the pavilions for the first time while he had a nice little snooze in the shade and I read my book. It made me feel a little bit older considering I was sitting alone in that area with an elderly couple that was trying to sleep in their camper chairs. Oh well.
Towards the end of the day, Carl got a little ornery and we took him away to see if we could calm him down. After a little momma's milk and extra Propel water from dad, he was feeling like a champ. Oh and did I mention that we doused him completely with water from head to toe. Yea, I bet that felt good in 95 degree weather.
It's crazy to think of going to Lagoon as a kid and being so frightened of each of the rollercoasters, and then going on them now trying to will your tummy to flip like it used to. Although, Wicked sure got me!
All in all, it was a fun filled day with lots of memories. Thank you Rob and LeAnn for the great day with the fam! Maybe next year, Hannah will open her eyes in the haunted house.
