Here are the latest of my book reading collection. Of course, I have been stoked about the final book of The Hunger Games and even pre-ordered my copy of the book back in February. *spoiler alert* I read the book just as fast as I read the previously two, however I wasn't very impressed with it. I felt like the author had a deadline and jipped a lot of the plot just to make it an easy cap. Also, some of my favorite characters were just randomly thrown out with a sentence or two. What? And that's all there is to it?
The whole book had lots of depression and evil throughout and it was pretty redundant after awhile. Anyways, not a fan...sadly. Oh well!

Next teen fiction series. Ha! I read this book and loved it so I went to the library to get the next couple of books and lo and behold, the author was coming to our very own library to visit. However, the librarian informed me that the tickets would probably be reserved for the teenagers, sorry. Just because I enjoy reading teen novels in the middle of the my night shifts, doesn't mean that I'm ultra lame. I like to be entertained!
This book is about a world in the future where everyone is considered "ugly" until their 16th birthday where they have a major operation that makes them a "pretty." Simple enough. Add a little plot and a little action and, there you've got it. A great book. I'm on the third book already.

Well, by some measure, we ended up with a few bushels of peaches and had no intention of eating them so quickly. So for the third year in a row, my mom and I canned peaches! We love canned peaches and it's such a great learning experience for me-especially to learn from my mom. Bring on the peaches all year long baby!

Mockingjay was very disappointing for me too! Everything you said, I completely agree!
And the girls in my family just canned this past weekend too! We made salsa and jalapeno jelly (which is the best stuff ever!) Anyways...love ya!
Mmmm! Yummy peaches! They look wonderful--great job.
