Wow! I am a little behind... to say the least. However, we were able to do a lot of fun things during November and I am here to report.
We were able to go to our little cousin, Kate's baptism. She is getting so big and is so mature for her age. We are so proud of her and her decision to get baptized.
We were able to go to our cousin, Grayden's farewell. He is already in the MTC and will be a great missionary. We look forward to reports from him and his progress.
I was able to go to Logan with my brother and spend time with some of my favorite family! Also, we had a little "Cousin Club" where I was able to make some new stockings! So fun and so cute. Not to mention that they are much bigger than our old ones...more gifts for us! Woohoo!
Preston and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary. We went to Tucanos for a fabulous meal in the Redwoods. They have just redone the Redwoods and it is beautiful. I wish I would have had my camera with me because they had their lights out, new fire pits out, etc. It felt like such a classy place to be. Also, we went for a little horse carriage ride around the mall which was a lot of fun. Thank you Preston for a wonderfully perfect three years. I sure do love you!
Then we went down to Cedar City for Thanksgiving. Not to worry that we went down during the ever disappointing "Blizzard of 2010." Yea, it was pretty lame. However, we came upon our own little scare.
We were going about 60mph along I-15 when the traffic in front of us came to an immediate stop (due to an accident not too far up-we found out later). We were so close to the car in front of us, that Preston later said that he was trying to decide where on the car he should hit. But, with his mad reflexes, his peripheral noticed a gap between the tenth mile pole and the car. He took the gap and headed straight into the median.
From there we coasted for about 100 yards and then Preston quickly tried to come back out of the median so we wouldn't get stuck and got us back on the road (where the nice car driver let us in).
On the plus side, we were able to pass a lot of traffic.
But we made it to Cedar safe and sound.
Don't worry, I remembered the camera! I wouldn't want to miss pictures like this!
The annual Turkey Bowl. Yep, my team won! Actually it was a tie... and considering I played all time offense, I liked my chances.
This picture cracks me up. Carl loves his Aunt Marissa.
Then a little basketball. This is when I first decided I loved Preston. Ü
Lightning, 21, DONKEY, and so forth. Gotta love it!
We had to burn off the Thanksgiving calories somehow, right? Thanksgiving was delicious, as usual. The Wankiers go all out; homemade stuffing, pies, mmm..... It was delicious.
The next day was GAME DAY! BYU vs. Utah.
So Marissa and I made a mini-post-Thanksgiving-blue feast.
And Carl liked his seat for the game!
Forget that he fell asleep 2 minutes into it.
But the game was great. All the excitement you could pack into a BYU game. I'll be honest, I am a little sick of hearing all about it over and over again. You either have the very excited, Brandon Burton red fans, or the ticked off, the officials are idiots blue fans. The game could have gone either way. But it's done. Don't get me wrong, I really don't think the Utes played that great to actually be on top at the end, but oh well. The Cougars don't have anything to regret. (Except for maybe that field goal they should have kicked on the fourth down) Ü
Ok, enough.
Carl with his Grandpa Wankier.
And I couldn't go without this one. My little flirt.
More to write later. Carl is just starting to crawl around, so I have to run.
Thank you Wankiers for a great Thanksgiving and for the fun memories. We love you all!
Go Cougs!
