Minute to Win It

We went down to Preston's family's home this weekend and boy did we have a jam packed time. They just had a new aquatic center built about a block away from their home, and so we took Carl there. He had a blast, until his little lips and hands turned purple. What a fun place to go with your family.

Then we had the ritual Scum night.

Niels as pee-on and his roommate, old mission companion, and one of my new favorite people, Matt as scum.

Chase as King (obviously with that hat on!) and Emily as Queen (with one of GG's old hats from the 40s).

Then the next day came the real fun. We planned 20 games around NBC's new show, "Minute to Win It." We split into two teams (boys vs. girls) and pulled names out of a sack to decide who would do each challenge. We then showed them the blueprint on the television screen so they new what their challenge would be. If they couldn't accomplish the task in sixty seconds, then they could challenge anyone from the opposing team to try it to steal the points.

Needless to say, this made for some priceless pictures.

Dizzy Mummy by Matt

Unwind a single roll of toilet paper by spinning your body repeatedly in a 360--without tearing the paper.

Hanky Panky by Chase

Use only one hand to pull tissues out of a tissue boxes one-at-a-time until box is empty

Face the Cookie by LeAnn and Rob

Using only their face, contestants must move Oreo cookies individually from their foreheads to their mouths.

Paper Dragon by Rob

Unspool rolls of party streamers using only your hands and arms

Don't Blow the Kings by Matt and then Heidi

Blow a deck of playing cards off a serving tray leaving only the four kings.

Ker Plink or Plunk

Bounce three marbles into three small bowls, floating in a larger bowl filled with water.

Mad Dog by Niels

Two contestants shake rulers attached to boxes of mints. Game is completed when all the mints are shaken out of the boxes.

Bite Me by Emily and Preston

Use only your mouth to pull the bags onto the podium.

Rapid Fire by Heidi

Using only their hands, players must shoot rubber bands to knock a pyramid of soda cans completely off a platform

Egg Roll by Chase and Marissa

Move the eggs across the floor and into a target area only by fanning them with an empty pizza box

Stack Attack my LeAnn and Niels

Use 36 plastic cups to erect a triangle-shaped structure, then move them all into a single stack

Bucket Head by Matt

Bounce the ping-pong balls off the floor and then the wall and back into a bucket affixed to your head.

Bottoms Up by Heidi

Use a yo-yo tied to your belt to knock empty soda cans off pedestals

Penny Hose by Niels

Grab the two pennies are placed in the ends of the legs of a pair of pantyhose.

Noodling Around by Hannah

Pick up six penne noodles placed around the perimeter of a table using only a piece of uncooked spaghetti in your mouth.

Spoon Frog by Preston and Caytee

Contestant has to bang down on a spoon to propel another spoon into a glass three times

Chocolate Unicorn by Caytee and Chase

Stack 7 chocolate snack cakes on their forehead while standing and leaning back.

We also had a few that I didn't get pictures of, and some that probably weren't appropriate for viewing purposes ;).
