[Carl] – (n) a little man

Oh boy how this little guy is growing up. For those of you who haven’t seen him in the last month (which is basically everyone but Emily!), he has changed a lot! He loves our house because it is basically bare and completely child proof. He can climb in any cupboard, open drawers, and climb all around without his mom watching his every move. Oh, and did I mention how much I love that!

Sorry future Carl looking back on this picture of you in your diaper that your mom so cruelly displayed for everyone to see. Oh well.
This is a short clip of Carl’s new trick. He loves to dribble, dribble, dribble and then shoot! Funny thing is, he did it on his own. I guess we like to watch our basketball around here.

He grabbed my keys the other day and headed for the front door. I think he gets a little bored sometimes because he often heads for that door…

He saw me brushing my teeth one day and kept crying out for my toothbrush. So I grabbed an extra one for him and for the next twenty minutes…he proceeded to brush his teeth. Funny boy!

This just cracks me up looking at it. Carl was helping me unload the dishwasher – so kind – and grabbed this spatula. Next thing you know, he walked over to the stove and was trying to help stir the food that I was making. And what did this responsible mother do…run for the camera so I can take a picture of my child reaching for the hot beans and taco meat cooking.

However, we do have a little child at heart. We went to the Book Festival here in Gaithersburg this weekend and they gave him a stuffed “Yurtle Turtle.” He absolutely loves it and carries it around now.

Even though I love that he is growing up, it is hard to see my little guy getting so big. How we adore him! Obviously! (Sorry again bud for the shirtless picture).

You have such a good looking boy! He's starting to look more like a toddler and less like a baby. It's fun to watch them grow up but it breaks your heart!
