We recently went up to Hill Air Force Base in northern Utah. Surprisingly, Preston and I have lived in Utah for most of our lives and yet, neither one of us had been there before. I remember driving past it several times and seeing all the old planes outside just off the freeway but I didn't think there was much more than that.
So we recently went up to have my grandma help us with our taxes and we thought we would make a trip of it! So we stopped by the Hill Air Force Base and were pleasantly surprised! There were two huge hangars full of planes and fighter jets and helicopters that Carl loved! It reminded me of going to the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC but on a smaller scale of course!
My favorite part was going outside and touching all the planes and looking up by the wheels and such! If only it wasn't so cold!
So, if you are looking for something new to do during this cold winter time with your kids, I definitely recommend it!
