Carl and Grandma Wankier's Birthday

This is my cute Carl!  He just turned 2!  I can't believe it.  I have so much to say about this little boy, you would probably get bored.  But for my own recollection, please endure!
Carl is a little smartie pants!  He knows all of his letters and all of their sounds (thank you Letter Factory)!  He even knows how to spell his name.  He gave me a marker the other day and told me to draw a "C" "A" "R" "L" "CARL!"  So proud.
Carl loves people.  He figures that anyone that walks through our door is there to see him. So that is when he proceeds to show off all his mad skills.
Carl loves BYU! Anytime he sees the "Y" he gets excited and runs about.  We have a few BYU athletic posters in his room and he always has to show them to me before he goes to bed.  You should see him when we walk into the BYU Bookstore. "Y" "Y" "Y" "Y" "Y"!  And yes, he knows the fight song!
Carl loves sports! He loves to "dribble dribble pass shoot" the basketball.  Or "down, set, hike... run run run... tackle" the football.  He loves to "spike" the volleyball. He loves to "strike" the baseball (we need to work on that one!
Carl is tall and skinny. He is in the 90% for height and 30% for weight!  Woot woot!
Carl is my little helper! He loves to help me pull out all the laundry and sort them by color with me.  He loves to throw things away in the garbage for me (sometimes even things I don't want thrown away). He sweeps the floor, wipes his own face and hands, and helps get himself dressed.
Carl loves his momma!  We'll see how long this lasts, but Carl will come and snuggle with me and talk to me in his little jibber jabber.  We have a little joke between us... I say "I...Love... You, you, you, you!" and point at him over and over again.  He does it right back and let's just say, he can always go longer than I can!  I love it!
Carl adores his dadda! This little guy starts to glow every time he sees his daddy!  He and Preston run around the house and tackle and play with cars and read books.  He thinks Preston is the epiphany of manhood, which he is, let's be honest!
Carl is such a good kid! I am spoiled to have such a good tempered boy.  He doesn't put up a fight about going to bed. He's good about putting away his toys. He brings joy to everyone around him.  Hopefully he will stay that way!
Carl is such a joy in our home!  We love him so much and are so lucky to have him in our lives! Happy Birthday Carl!

Some spoiling from his Auntie Em!  Soon to be our nearest and dearest aunt!
Carl with Aunt Hannah!  Cute boy fell asleep in her arms while we were visiting them in Cedar.

Lucky for us, Carl's Grandma Wankier was celebrating her birthday the same week! I wish I would have videotaped him blowing out the candles on the cake.  We had been practicing for weeks ;) and he did it on the first try.  Wonder what he wished for?
And then comes the best part about birthdays...cake and ice cream! And lots of it!

Happy Birthday LeAnn!  Hope you enjoy your candy machine!  We have loved ours.  We are so lucky to have you in our lives and to have all the support that you and your family give to us.  Thank you for letting us celebrate your birthday with you! We sure do love you!!!
