Growth Chart Ruler

We had a YW Fundraiser and they asked people to donate projects to sell.  Well, being the "practical" Caytee that I am, I did a project that I have been meaning to do for my home for awhile.

I bought a 1x8x12 board from Home Depot.
Sanded it down.
Stained it. (Works best if you use a pre-stain so that the stain spreads evenly)
Then I started at the bottom and measured every inch.  The bottom of the board is 6" so that the board can hang 6" off the floor.  The top is 6 1/2'.
Then I printed a number 1-6 in Century size 180.
I traced the numbers onto the wood and then used the imprint and a sharpie to make the numbers and marks.  I made every mark 1 inch and every third mark two inches.
Then I used polyurethane to seal it all in.
Hang it up.
Measure my kid!
Gorg decor for life.
