The Story of the little Davey T-shirt

Just before James was born, we received an unexpected surprise in the mail from one of our dear friends, George and his wife.  George was the instigator to getting Preston hired to Davey Tree and has taken great care of our little family.  Not too long after we first met him, he sent a little Davey Bear to Carl (which he still has in his room).

Well, in this little package was a card, a note, and a little baby t-shirt.
The note read:
"The story of the little Davey T-shirt
When we were expecting our first born, one of the Davey managers in Canada gave us the little Davey T-shirt. The shirt had been made from a regular sized Davey work T-shirt by a retired Davey wife in the 1970's with the intention of it being randomly passed along among Davey families for their newborn babies to be photographed in.
Unfortunately, we broke the chain when we accidently stored the shirt with other baby mementos. Recently, as we were sorting through family keepsakes the little Davey T-shirt surfaced after being lost for 25 years.
We hope that you will carry on the tradition.
Best wishes;
George and Janice"

Well, it didn't take too long for us to put that adorable little shirt on our little guy.  He fits right in it!  I absolutely love the idea of this tradition and look forward to passing it on to another lucky family.  Thank you George for continually thinking of us and for making us feel apart of the Davey family.
(I can't get enough of those cheeks!)
