We were lucky enough to have the Wankier family come and visit us in January. We had a lot of fun with them while they were here (though it was terribly cold!)
The first day they were here they went to the Dulles Air and Space Museum, a personal favorite of our family's.
Carl and Hannah were able to jump in the pilot's seat and fly an airplane!
Not to mention they got a personal tour from the best docent at the museum... Emily!!
The shuttle Discovery recently arrived at the museum and was a treat for everyone to see. Not to mention Emily has a plethera of knowledge about it. She even taught all the other docents about it once the shuttle arrived at the museum!
After their trip to the museum they took a trip downtown. It was a little on the chilly side, so James and I didn't join them. But let's be honest, you can't get enough of the mall in DC. This is from the World War II memorial. Here is the pillar representing Utah.
Of course, this is the Washington Monument.
Then everyone came back to the house for some down time. They were able to make their way over to one of the parks by our house. (Which Carl LOVED!)
(One of my favorite pictures of Carl and Preston).
And everyone was able to officially meet baby James.
Grandma and James
Hannah and James
Carl multitasking.
Emily and James snoozing.
Marissa and James.
And the girls!!!...and James.
His grandma Wankier made him this BEAUTIFUL BYU quilt. She must know how much we love that school! Thank you so much. We love it!

He's a pretty popular man around here if you couldn't tell.
