We were so lucky to have Curtis & Carrie and their boys come and visit us. I can't believe how fast these boys are growing up. Carl absolutely LOVED having them around. It was like having a couple extra older brothers. Ü Not to mention, James got to officially meet them all!
This was a pretty typical scene at our house while they were here. Carl would snuggle right in. Oh we miss them already.
I was amazed at how much they were able to fit in while they were here. They were able to go to Gettysburg, Antietam, Hershey, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, a Nats game, all the memorials, Monticello.... there's probably more. They put on more than 1,000 miles on their rental car! Now they are amazing.
We were able to go the Dulles Air and Space Museum and get a special tour from the best docent there... Emily. The boys LOVED the big planes!
...and especially shuttle Discovery. You could just see their minds turning as they saw all of the amazing aircraft. Each night they would come back exhausted and then, they would stay up and chat with me until late!
We also got to spend Easter with these guys! Thank goodness the Easter bunny knew that they were visiting us in DC. He even snuck in our house while we were at the park playing and left an EASTER EGG HUNT! Woo hoo! What more could you want than candy and money in little plastic colored eggs?
Not too mention he left each of the kids an Easter basket for when they woke up in the morning. (Wasn't that nice of him to put them in beautiful "Easter bowls" for mommy to keep afterwards? He must be staring some new traditions.

My favorite part about having family and friends come and visit and we really get some "one on one" time with them. I feel like I was able to get to know Curt & his family so much better. I think we kind of took that for granite when we lived in Utah. Not to mention, they are such a wonderful family! Carl asked for his cousins for the next month after they left!
Before they left, Brady made this note for Carl. I [heart] this boy.
We miss you all! Thank you so much for making the effort to come out and see us. We love you all so much. Until next time!
