Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day!  Why did I not envelope this holiday when I was a youngster?
It's nice when you have a day with a little extra... appreciation.  Sorry mom for not taking this holiday more seriously when I was little.  I have come to appreciate ALL that you have done for us as kiddos.  And when I say ALL... I mean a whole heck of a lot.  I remember when I was younger and we lived in Illinois.  You not only took care of all of your own kids there... but 200 +/- missionaries.  How many meals you cooked, home made loaves bread you made to motivate the missionaries, bunk beds made, lessons taught... all the while, cleaning the house and running us around everywhere.  Man, I can't believe you did it all.  Your children love you, mom, and I hope that I can raise my children as well as you have.

To my mother-in-law, LeAnn!  Ever since I met you, I was always impressed with how well you were able to balance and organize all of your responsibilities.   You are so intelligent, so kind, and have raised such wonderful children.  I am so glad that my children have such wonderful grandmothers!

For Mother's Day, I was absolutely spoiled.  Preston took care of the little guys, cleaned the house, and made a wonderful dinner.

Yea, remember those wonderful navajo tacos that we had a Hermes in Cedar City?  Mmm... these were even better.  Preston is an incredible cook!
Oh... and don't forget, my absolute favorite.
They even got me presents...nice presents.  Ikes!  I got a bread maker and a smores maker.  Mmm...  Even a cute little note from Carl and a beautiful card from Preston.  Those probably made my day even more than the gifts did.
Who knows... maybe I will be a great bread maker before too long!
Mother's, and to ALL of those that have helped raise children, my love and thanks goes out to you!
Happy Mother's Day!
