Preston's Grandma Tobler turned 75 and his family put on a fun surprise birthday party for her to celebrate. She had no idea and burst into tears when she saw nearly the entire family there waiting for her in the backyard.
We had the surprise party at the White's beautiful home. I think Preston spent most of the time looking at all the plants around since he has changed his major to Landscape Management. It was the perfect setting for such an occasion.
The kids had fun getting together and wrestling one another again.
And the adults had fun visiting and playing games. We all had a little trivia about Grandma Tobler (which I'm sorry to say, I wasn't very good at at all), a slideshow with old slides from Grandma's past, and lots of good food and games.
Preston and I were excited to take Carl swimming for the first time, but as you can see, he didn't quite enjoy it as much as we had hoped. I guess taking him after his bedtime in an indoor swimming pool with a bunch of screaming kids doesn't help. The poor boy was crying before he even hit the water.
All in all it was a great birthday party and you could tell that Grandma Tobler truly appreciated it. She has lived a great life and has touched a lot of lives. She is loved by many!
