This week we learned a little food etiquette. I sent out these invitations with some recipe cards for the girls to write down their favorite recipes to share with everyone.

Then I printed this out and I told the girls to put the dinner setting together. It was quite the puzzle and it took them awhile before they could figure out where each of the forks, spoons, etc. went.

I got this off of Martha Stewart's site here.

From there, I made a sign that said "Welcome to Caytee's Restaurant. Please wait to be seated." In the next room, I had a beautifully set table with white linen, flowers, my nice plates and silverware and as the girls were brought to their seat, they were asked to set their own spot, just as they had just learned.
From there, we went over a quiz of different etiquette rules for the girls to learn. They had fun learning that you were supposed to pass everything to the right, and spread your butter on your plate first before your roll, etc. Then we got to practice. Each of the girls brought some of their favorite recipe to sample and I made rolls and salad for the girls to enjoy. We had an etiquette dinner (which wasn't quite perfectly etiquette), and the girls had a great time.

Very cute idea!
Very, very, very cute! I bet they love you! Not to mention the primary president who doesn't have to worry about a thing with you in charge of those activity day girls.
