That’s right everyone. It’s an Asian Fiesta! I almost wish I could scan in the program front page just to show it off. Yep, all Asian…no Spanish. Oh well. It was fun! They closed down part of Pennsylvania Ave. and put on a big Asian “fiesta.”
When we walked in, we grabbed these little hats that were a hit all around. Truthfully, we saw a family walking in to the American Indian museum with these and thought that they were just dressing up for their trip to that museum.
They had several countries represented that were selling goods and services. Even fortune telling. Too bad we didn’t take advantage of that one. However, we did find a Taiwanese man who was painting umbrellas and selling them and so we got one of those!
I absolutely love it. He painted it right there. Emily and I also tried on a few hats…
I felt like I was heading for the Royal Wedding! We saw some fighting, dancing, ate some Malaysian food, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I think I could do the Asian Fiesta again. Jon, maybe we can start some new tradition?
