{Our Better Third}

Speaking of course of our child, Carl. He is growing up by leaps and bounds. And because I know you have all been waiting as long as I have… I am proud to report that those stubborn teeth are finally breaking through. He broke through his top four teeth this weekend!

Woohoo!
Well, this poor kid has been dragged around so much lately, he doesn’t quite know when to take a nap, when it’s time to eat, or when it’s time to jump back into the car. But I’ll tell you what, he is sure a good boy and takes life as it comes and adjusts to it all. Even when we don’t get him to bed until 11:00pm on that rare occasion.

Carl at our favorite store, Barnes and Noble. Thank you for your free wi-fi and great kid’s area.
Carl has been cracking me up lately because he is catching onto things so quickly. For example, he saw Preston shaving in the bathroom one day. So, much to my surprise he walked out of our bathroom as I was cooking dinner doing this…

Ha! Classic. I’m hoping he doesn’t have to start shaving this early.

He’s also obsessed with little things around the house. He LOVES our sweeper. It’s almost like a little vaccum and he will take it all over my house. It’s beautiful. The kid is doing chores at 15 months. What more could a mother ask for?

This is a picture that happens almost daily. I’m not the best mom (as previous posts will recognize), and I don’t read to him consistently at the same time every night like I probably should. But he loves it! Don’t get me wrong, we read a lot, but this kid will crawl onto our bed, cross his legs, sit back and read his book (most likely upside down). I love it!

Does this surprise anyone? He made an adventure into our closet the other day and this is what he came out with. Don’t worry, he grabbed the ball too. It’s just in the glove. And we haven’t even worked on baseball yet.

Speaking of balls. Whenever Carl and I go to Target, they have these jinormous balls in front that he is obsessed with. He will run straight for the store just to tackle one of them. You can see happiness written all over that kid’s face.

He is such a good boy. He has this little boy love of music. I happened upon this little kid’s concert that was going on at our Town Center and he loved it. He started whipping out his dance moves for all the lovely little gals there. Ah shucks. What a cute guy! Hurry girls, you better put your bids in early for this boy!

I can't believe how big he looks! You are one of the best moms I know by the way.
